Join The Trust Collaboratory at Columbia University for The Citizen AI Project, a community-based initiative dedicated to shaping the future of artificial intelligence through meaningful public participation. This upcoming session focuses on the critical theme of 'guardrails,' exploring how bottom-up, civic approaches can inform the development of technology that truly serves the public interest.
This is not a technical workshop; no prior experience with AI is required. We are seeking individuals with experience in community building, group organizing, and collaborative facilitation. Your lived experience in navigating social processes is the most valuable asset for this conversation.
Participants will enjoy a light dinner and are eligible to receive $50 in compensation to help offset transportation costs and effort. Come help us envision what AI should become and how communities can actively lead its design.
