Robot Hackathon: Harnessing Physical AI & Data
- WHO IT IS FOR: Ambitious builders and software developers interested in physical AI and robotics, regardless of prior robotics experience.
- WHAT IT IS ABOUT: A hands-on technical challenge focused on building end-to-end robotics applications using real robot arms, Viam, and MongoDB Atlas.
- FORMAT: A two-day, intensive hands-on hackathon featuring real hardware and expert mentorship.
Join Viam and MongoDB in San Francisco for an immersive two-day hackathon dedicated to the cutting edge of physical AI. This event provides builders with the high-end hardware and software tools necessary to bring intelligent machines to life. Participants will work in small teams to develop end-to-end robotics applications, leveraging professional-grade equipment including UFactory xArm or Universal Robots, depth cameras, and Linux compute machines.
To elevate your builds, every team will utilize MongoDB Atlas to provide their robots with a digital memory. Whether you are using Atlas Vector Search to match visual data or logging sensor readings to tune performance, you will learn how to manage the massive data streams produced by autonomous systems. From training Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models to designing complex manipulation tasks, this hackathon is designed to push the boundaries of what software can do in the physical world.
