- WHAT IT IS ABOUT: A relaxing outdoor gathering focused on artistic expression and social connection in nature.
- FORMAT: A low-pressure community art session and social mixer.
Escape the digital noise and rediscover your creativity at the Art Picnic in the Park. Hosted by the Open Air Art Club, this gathering transforms McCarren Park into a vibrant open-air studio where the focus is on the joy of creating rather than technical perfection.
Whether you are a seasoned painter or have never picked up a brush, you are welcome to join. We provide communal supplies, including watercolors and pastels, so you can dive right in, though you are more than welcome to bring your own personal projects. Come enjoy a peaceful Sunday afternoon of art and community in the heart of Brooklyn.
