AI Research Hackathon
- WHO IT IS FOR: AI researchers, engineers, and developers interested in building autonomous research agents and self-improving AI systems.
- WHAT IT IS ABOUT: A 48-hour intensive competition focused on developing AI that can conduct its own experiments and function as swarms of research agents.
- FORMAT: An in-person, team-based hackathon featuring building sessions, mentorship, and live pitching to judges and VCs.
Join Iterate in the heart of San Francisco for the AI Research Hackathon, an intensive 48-hour sprint dedicated to the next frontier of artificial intelligence. Following the success of our London event, we are bringing this unique format to the home of the world's leading AI labs. Participants will work in teams of 3-5 to build autonomous systems capable of running their own experiments and improving themselves through agentic workflows.
Attendees will gain hands-on experience using real-world tools, models, and benchmarks provided by our partners. To support your builds, the event provides GPU compute credits, API credits, and 1:1 mentorship from leading researchers. The hackathon concludes with a live pitch session where teams present their breakthroughs to an audience of venture capitalists and industry experts, competing for cash prizes and specialized thematic awards.
