- FORMAT: An interactive, instructor-led workshop featuring practical building sessions.
Unlock the magic of technology at the inaugural AI Engineer Kids Day, hosted by Neo4j in the heart of New York City. This free, hands-on event is designed to introduce young innovators to the world of artificial intelligence and coding in a fun, accessible way. Led by acclaimed computer science author and speaker Cassandra Chin, participants will dive into a creative journey that turns complex technical concepts into engaging, playable experiences.
In our signature workshop, 'Learn AI by Making Games with Phippy!', kids will step into the role of game designers. Using the open-source Godot engine and the colorful Phippy and Friends characters, children will work alongside an AI coding assistant to build their own 2D adventures, from treasure hunts to challenging mazes. This session teaches essential problem-solving skills, such as giving clear AI instructions and debugging code, all while empowering kids to realize that they are the ones in control of the technology.
No prior coding experience is required—only curiosity and a desire to experiment! Whether your child is a complete beginner or a budding tech enthusiast, this workshop provides the perfect environment to learn, explore, and create alongside family in Bryant Park.
