AI + Drone Innovation Lab
- WHO IT IS FOR: Middle and high school students ages 11–17 with a passion for technology and innovation.
- WHAT IT IS ABOUT: A hands-on exploration of drone engineering, 3D printing, and AI-powered coding to solve real-world challenges.
- FORMAT: A multi-session innovation lab and workshop series.
Unlock the future of technology at the AI + Drone Innovation Lab in Los Altos, California. Led by AI educator Brian Loeswick, this immersive program empowers students to transition from tech consumers to creators. Participants will dive deep into drone anatomy, assemble their own aircraft, and master the fundamentals of flight through hands-on coding.
The experience extends beyond flight with a high-stakes rescue mission focusing on 3D modeling and printing. Students will design and prototype custom carriers to deliver emergency supplies, learning the full cycle of digital fabrication. The lab culminates in an AI Vibe coding session, where students use cutting-edge AI tools to control their drones, mastering variables, functions, and error detection without needing prior Arduino experience.
